Dr. Iqbal is the Chief Executive Officer of Med Psych Care, PLLC. He is also the Director of Psychiatry at New York Presbyterian – Hudson Valley Hospital at Cortlandt Manor, where he was recognized with a certificate of appreciation in 2017.

Dr. Iqbal is also a staff at Department of Psychiatry, Montefiore Medical Center – where he has also served as the Director of Specialty Research Program as well as the Director of Psychiatry Emergency Services. At Montefiore Dr. Naveed Iqbal also served as a Senior Faculty Member – Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Dr. Naveed Iqbal is Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and has 38 years of academic research and clinical experience.

Dr. Iqbal is an author of many peer review articles , book chapters and served as a Guest Editor for academic Journals. Dr. Iqbal has presented his research nationally and Internationally in areas of Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Alzheimer’s, Schizophrenia to name a few. Dr. Iqbal is also an actively sought speaker and has presented over a thousand lectures nationally and Internationally; traveling widely within the US and as far as Japan and Australia. He is frequently sought as a consultant and advisor by other psychiatrists, medical colleagues, multinational companies as well as academic institutions. Dr. Iqbal is committed to providing the state of the art treatments including Pharmacotherapy, Psychotherapy, and Multimodal approach for the Total Wellness of his patients in his clinical practice over the past several decades.

Community Service with in Psychiatry

Dr.Iqbal remembers his humble beginnings where he began the search for his desired life balance. Dr. Iqbal has served in community outreach programs by providing Psychiatric services in some of the most vulnerable populations in NY State. Due to his service he received was awarded for his professional growth and service to those in need for from the 53rd governor of NY State George Pataki in 1999.
